Title: Senior Project Engineer
Department: Engineering    
Hours: Full Time
Description: The individual in this position must have a relevant (4 years) Bachelors degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years experience as a Senior Project Engineer/Project Leader. This individual will be responsible for the generation and implementation of engineering, programatic and certification solutions for each assigned project. This individual will manage the planning and implementation of solutions to projects as directed by the Manager of System Engineering and is responsible for budget generation and subsequent budget management. The individual is expected to become a subject matter expert on the assigned project and provide guidance and mentoring to team members. Knowledge of 14CFR Part 29 certification regulations is a plus. This individual is also expected to consistently display the highest levels of job knowledge, professional integrity and work ethic.
Title: Aircraft Mechanics

Description: Currently looking for applicant(s) that have aircraft component overhaul experience. It is a plus if the applicant is familiar with the components on the S64 and/or CH54 model aircraft and specifically the following components: Main Gearbox, Main/Tail Rotor Head, Intermediate/Tall Gearbox, Turbine Engines, (P&W JT12 or JFTD12A). Fuel Components (FCU and Fuel Pumps), Main/Tail Rotor Blade repair, and Hydraulic Components and Landing Gear. Overhaul requires the ability to perform the following: disassembly, cleaning, detailed visual inspection, dimensional inspection, final assembly, and testing.
Title: Benching Technician (Part Bencher / Polisher)
Department: Machine Shop

Description: Erickson Air-Crane is looking for experienced Benching Technicians who will participate in our main rotor blade manufacturing process. The benching technicians will blend and polish our machined main rotor blade spars to finish while holding the dimensional integrity of the spar to drawing specifications. The successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience with aviation part blending and polishing. Applicants with extensive auto body work will also be considered. Blueprint reading and math skills are a plus.
Applicants must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with high work ethics who are willing to perform in a team environment. Applicants must be willing to participate in on going company training programs.
Title: Tooling Engineer
Department: Estimating & Tooling    
Hours: Full Time
Description: The individual in this position will evaluate tooling requirements for manufacturing operations and assists in developing tooling concepts and models. They will use and interpret engineering drawings for development of production tooling such as tool and dies for forming dies, fixtures, templates, gauges, drill jigs and assembly fixtures. Will estimate tooling costs and initiates tooling process documents for the movement of tools and materials through the tool manufacturing. This individual must have an AA degree in related discipline and 3 or more years of related experience, preferably in aerospace tooling or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Auto Cad, Solid Works, and CATIA V5 (CATIA preferred but not required), 2D and 3D solid modeling. Advanced blueprint reading, Knowledge of GD&T and basic drafting skills.
Title: Cost Estimator
Department: Estimating & Tooling

Description: The individual in this position will estimate labor, material, shop lead time and one-time costs such as part programming and tooling based on request for quote (RFQ) data submitted by customers. Must analyze engineering drawings, bills of material, material and process specifications and then calculate production costs using labor rates, material and processing price schedules and historical data. This individual must have 5 or more years of estimating experience in a machine shop environment with exposure to parts varying from simple to complex. Must also have a solid background in machining techniques and machining processes. Aerospace background highly desirable. This individual must have strong communication and organizational skill with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Would prefer but not required to have knowledge of MasterCam, Solidworks or similar CAM/CAD software and cost estimating software.

Description: Minimum qualifications - 15 years CNC Machining/Set-up experience. 5 years CNC Programming using Mastercam Software 4 & 5-axis experience. Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the processes necessary to machine complex parts to .0005 tolerances. Apply excellent problem-solving skills. Be able to work in a team environment. Have high work ethics, is self-motivated and can work with little supervision.

Description: Minimum qualifications - 10 yrs. manual machining and 5 yrs. CNC machining / set-up with manual programming exp. Able to bore / hone holes to .0002" tolerances on CNC vertical mill. Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the processes necessary to machine complex parts to .0005 tolerances. Apply excellent problem-solving skills. Be able to work in a team environment. Title: Structures Manager
Department: Engineering

Description: The individual supervises all stress and aircraft liaison engineers. Must be an expert in aircraft classical stress and fatigue analysis and have broad experience with Nastran/Ansys. Damage tolerance, composite structures, and certification expertise are pluses. Expert knowledge of FAA Part 21 and 29 regulations and working knowledge of other applicable regulations is highly desired. The applicant must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or other related Engineering Discipline. Masters of Science degree is desired. Must have a minimum of 10 years in developmental aerospace engineering environment with a minimum of 5 years being in a lead engineer, engineering supervisor, engineering manager, or project manager position.
Title: Maintenance Engineering Technician

Description: The individual in this position will interpret, develop and revise maintenance operation instruction sheets, shop job aids and other maintenance documents for the fabrication, assembly and installation of parts and components to meet repair station requirements. This position may also include positions of project management/estimating. Must be detail orientated and be able to work in a variety of environments. It is highly recommended this individual have blueprint reading, computer training (to include Microsoft Office products, Corel Draw/Paint) and a minimum of three years aviation component/aircraft overhaul and/or repair experience. AA degree in Manufacturing Engineering and/or valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mechanic with Airframe and/or Power Plant rating preferred.
Title: Bell 206B3 Mechanic
Department: Aircraft Maintenance

Description: Must have a valid A&P certificate. Must have clean driving record. Position requires a minimum of 3 years prior Bell 206 experience as a certified mechanic. Responsible for general management of a Bell 206B3. Duties include daily maintenance, inspections, and general care of the helicopter. Will be required to organize Manuals, Parts catalogues, tracking inspections, researching current AD/SB's, and track components coming due. The position will be utilized for various duties required by Field Maintenance when not required on 206. Position is based in Medford, Oregon.

Description: Job duties include supporting the manufacture and overhaul of Erickson S-64 heavy lift helicopters through designing and analyzing airframe structural and component repairs, MRB actions, and implementing design changes.

Desired qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent experience);
2 years hands-on aerospace engineering experience;
drafting ability (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred), familiarity with aircraft structures and systems.

Must be able to interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
Title: Aircraft Support Technician (Hydraulic Fuel Metering)

Description: This position provides specific support functions like cleaning parts, tool monitoring, perform preventative maintenance for support equipment, maintain inventories, and perform housekeeping duties. This individual should possess basic mechanical abilities (use of pneumatic and basic hand tools), be organized, and motivated with a willingness to learn. This individual must properly handle aircraft parts to avoid damage. Position uses, handles and disposes hazardous materials.
